State Champion!!

Class 5A Boys Champion. Jeffery is the first Alamogordo boy to win the State Championship since 1973!!

SO NERVOUS! Just announced that there would be a three hole play off and if it ended in a tie then it would go to a sudden death playoff. It went three more holes!

We all walked 36 holes with Jeffery during the two day tournament. Here Dave and Mark plopped down in the shade to rest their weary legs.
What an awesome brother! Thank you for sharing one of the most exciting times of our lives. Jeffery has said over and over how great it was to have you there!

i can't tell you how many times i heard that story the day he got home. everyone that would listen got to hear all about jeffery. i'm glad he got to be there... he had so much fun!

That is awesome! Great Job Jeffery! Dave was definitely a proud uncle when he got home. He told us how it played out. I could only imagine how nerve racking that was. And the first state champion since 73, how cool is that?!?! Congrats!
I think I have the story pretty well fine tuned. Jacob was very anxious to know all about it when I got home. He said he wants to go watch him win next year. I think we can put that pressure on Jeffery now that he has proven he can handle it. It was so fun!!!!!!!!! Thanks to Mark, Mario, Nanny, Tony and Lily and Connie for showing me to all the wonderful food.
dave's story was pretty good, but did a snake really come out and eat his ball????
